Russell Arnold to be felicitated by past Peterite cricketers

Colombo, May 26 (UNI) Sri Lankan batsman Russell Arnold will be felicitated by the Past Cricketers Association of St Peter's College Bambalapitiya next Saturday for being the 'First Peterite to play in an ICC World Cup final.' The former captain of St Peter's College Bambalapitiya will be honoured at the Golden Pond Banquette Hall of the Taj Samudra Hotel.

The prolific left-handed batsman retired after playing his last match in the World Cup finals against Australia.

The chief guest will be the dynamic Rev. Fr. Travis Gabriel, the rector of St Peter's College who was interestingly the sports coordinator during Arnold's heydays at school.

A host of former Peterite national players, past captains and cricketers are expected to be there to wish the retired player the very best in his future endeavours.
