Ruturaj Gaikwad becomes 9th Indian to score a T20I century: List of T20I hundreds by India players

Indian Cricket Team has been a blooming batting unit over the years. And in the T20I format, the destructive batting prowess has become evident in recent years.

In a match of just 20 overs, getting a century is a humongous task, but Indian batters have already scored 15 centuries in the format.

Suresh Raina scored the first-ever T20I hundred for India in 2010, and so far nine Indian players have racked up three-figure scores in the shortest format of international cricket.

T20 Centuries for India

Among the Indian centurions, captain Rohit Sharma tops the list with 4 T20I centuries to his name. Suryakumar Yadav and KL Rahul are the other players with multiple centuries with 3 and 2 respectively.

Apart from the trio, six other players have scored a T20I hundred once. Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Deepak Hooda, Suresh Raina, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad all have scored centuries for India in T20Is.

Among the T20I centuries, Shubman Gill's unbeaten 126 against New Zealand is the highest individual score by an Indian in this format. Ruturaj Gaikwad's unbeaten 123 against Australia is the second highest, followed by Virat Kohli's 122 against Afghanistan in 2021.
