South Africa showcased an impeccable performance to crush Pakistan by 10 wickets in the second Test at Cape Town, completing a 2-0 series sweep. This emphatic victory not only underlines their dominance but also confirms their spot in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final.

Batting first, South Africa posted a mammoth total of 615, thanks to Ryan Rickelton's stellar 259 off 343 balls, studded with 29 boundaries and three sixes. Captain Temba Bavuma (106) and Kyle Verreynne (100) also notched centuries, while Marco Jansen contributed a brisk 62.

Pakistan's bowlers struggled to find breakthroughs, allowing the hosts to dominate from the outset. In reply, Pakistan managed just 194 in their first innings. Skipper Babar Azam top-scored with a gritty 58, but the rest of the lineup faltered.

Keshav Maharaj and Kagiso Rabada were the standout bowlers, dismantling Pakistan's batting order. Forced to follow on, Pakistan showed resilience in their second innings. Openers Shan Masood (145) and Babar Azam (81) put up a 205-run partnership.

However, South Africa's bowlers once again proved too strong. Rabada and Maharaj struck crucial blows, limiting Pakistan to 478 despite valiant efforts from Mohammad Rizwan and Agha Salman, who scored 40s each.

Needing just 58 runs to win, South Africa wasted no time. David Bedingham blasted an unbeaten 44 off 30 balls, supported by Aiden Markram's quickfire 14. The hosts sealed the game in just 7.1 overs, leaving no doubt about their supremacy.

This victory marks South Africa's second consecutive Test win over Pakistan, having triumphed by two wickets in the first Test. The Proteas now head into the WTC final with momentum on their side.
