SA-W vs WI-W Playing 11: South Africa will face West Indies in the third match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, UAE, on Friday, October 4.
Both teams enter the tournament with high ambitions. South Africa, who narrowly missed out on winning the previous T20 World Cup, will aim to start this year’s campaign strongly and finally claim the title.

The West Indies, champions in 2016, will be looking to bounce back to their former dominance, relying on key players such as captain Hayley Matthews and Stafanie Taylor to guide them through a tough Group B.
South Africa come into this fixture on the back of mixed results in their recent matches. While they enjoyed series wins over India and Pakistan, they suffered heavy defeats to New Zealand and India during their warm-up games, losing by 10 wickets and 15 runs, respectively.
Similarly, the West Indies too have had a mixed build-up to the tournament. Though they won the series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the lead-up, back-to-back losses in the warm-up matches against Australia and India have raised concerns for the Windies team.
