The inaugural edition of Cricket South Africa's (CSA) premier T20 League - SA20 has reached the climax stage with four teams set to do battle in the knock out stage.
After nearly a month of action that saw 30 league stage matches, the CSA T20 league that started as a six-team tournament is down to four teams that will try to become the inaugural SA20 champions.
The SA20 knock outs will feature just three matches - the two semifinals followed by the final. The first semifinal will be played between the first-placed team and the fourth-placed team, while the second and third-placed teams will clash in the second semifinal.
The SA20 2023 knock out stage matches will be held in two venues - Wanderers in Johannesburg and SuperSport Park in Centurion, Pretoria. The two semifinals will be held at the same time, while the final will start an hour early.
Pretoria Capitals finished top of the table with 32 points followed by second-placed Joburg Super Kings, who have finished with 27 points after the league stage.
With three teams tied on 19 points, Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Paarl Royals edged Durban's Super Giants to finish third and fourth respectively due to better Net Run Rate (NRR) after the 10 league stage matches each.
Both the semi-finals and the final have been allocated reserve days in the event of any weather interruptions. The final was postponed from February 11 to February 12 due to persistent rains. The match officials for the three matches have also been announced by Betway SA20.
