Durban's Super Giants on Saturday (September 28) announced former South African pacer Allan Donald will join their support staff ahead of the next edition of the SA20, which is scheduled to be held from January 9, 2025 to February 8, 2025.
Donald replaces Morne Morkel, who took over the bowling coach job of the Indian senior men's cricket team. The 57-year-old will join an already impressive coaching setup led by head coach Lance Klusener, Jonty Rhodes and Sridharan Sriram.

"South African cricket legend Allan Donald is set to join our team as bowling coach, adding firepower to the backroom staff ahead of the SA20 2025 season," the franchise said in a statement.
Donald, who was an iconic figure for South Africa from 1992 to 2002, claimed 300 Test wickets in 72 Tests, and had standout performances in the 1992 and 1996 ODI World Cups in his 164 ODIs career.
The Protea great was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame in 2019. He joins the Durban's Super Giants with a wealth of coaching experience in international and franchise league circuit.
Donald worked as the bowling coach for Bangladesh during the ODI World Cup 2023, and also had stints with New Zealand, South Africa and IPL teams like Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Pune Warriors India, making him an invaluable addition to DSG backroom.
Durban's Super Giants, boosted by the addition of Donald in their coaching setup, will be eyeing its first title in 2025 after narrowly missing out on the SA20 title with a runner-up finish earlier this year.
