South Africa's prominent stars as well as emerging talents from the rainbow nation will share the field with some of the international cricketers over the next month as Cricket South Africa's T20 League - SA20 returns for the third edition from Thursday (January 9).

The Proteas current big names like Heinrich Klaasen, David Miller, Kagiso Rabada, Aiden Markram, Marco Jansen, Anrich Nortje and Quinton de Kock will lead the way for home talent, while Corbin Bosch, Ryan Rickleton and Kwena Maphaka will be among the rising stars.

Former South Africa skipper Faf Du Plessis will also be in action, leading the Joburg Super Kings. IPL stars like Gerald Coetzee, Rashid Khan, Jonny Bairstow, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Will Jacks and Maheesh Theekshana will also feature in season 3.

As for the overseas players, former India wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik will become the first Indian in the SA20, while Kane Williamson and Joe Root also will play in the league for the first time. Here is a look at the captains and coaches list followed by the squads:
