All the six teams have announced their retentions and pre-signings ahead of the player auction for the third edition of SA20, which is scheduled to be held on October 1 in Cape Town.
The tournament itself will be staged from January 9, 2025 to February 8, 2025 as Sunrisers Eastern Cape look to make it a hattrick of title wins in CSA T20 League with Joburg Super Kings, MI Cape Town, Pretoria Capitals, Paarl Royals and Durban's Super Giants hoping to put an end to that run.

Defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape retained the core of their title-winning squad and also added three overseas players via pre-signings. Other teams also made retentions and some good signins.
England stars Ben Stokes and Joe Root are set to make their SA20 debut, while Dinesh Karthik is set to become the first Indian player to feature in the franchise league. Apart from retentions and pre-signings, there were players also being traded.
Further additions to the squads will be made during the bidding process in October, but the squads already looked stacked heading into the auction. Here is a look at the SA20 2025 Squads of all six teams.
