The SA20 Season 2 is all set to start with defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape taking on Joburg Super Kings at the St George's Park Cricket Ground in Gqberha, formerly known as Port Elizabeth on Wednesday (January 10).
SA20 2024 will see 6 teams battle in 10 matches each (double round-robin) in the league phase with the top four after the league stage heading into the playoffs - Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and then the final.

The table topper and second placed teams after the round-robin round will play the qualifier 1 with the winner earning a direct entry into SA20 Final, while the loser of the qualifier gets another shot at reaching the summit clash via the Qualifier 2, where they will face the winner of the Eliminator.
The Eliminator will see the third-placed team face the fourth-placed in a direct fight to get one step closer to the final. The SA20 league phase, held across 6 venues, concludes of February 4, while the playoffs will be held from February 6 to 10 in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

The SA20 Season 2 starts on January 10 with the league stage and ends a month later with the final on February 10. A total of 34 matches, including the playoffs, will be played across 6 venues this season.
The matches will be held mostly as a single match format with Saturdays hosting double header matches. There will be three different start times for matches in SA20 season 2.
The first match on double header day starts at 1:30 PM Local Time, 5 PM IST, 4:30 PM PKT, 11:30 AM UK Time. The second match follows the standard start time of the single match days - 5:30 PM Local Time, 9 PM IST, 8:30 PM PKT, 3:30 PM UK Time.
There is also a special start time on Sundays during the second season of the SA20 with the matches starting at 3:30 PM Local Time, 7 PM IST, 6:30 PM PKT, 4:30 PM UK Time.
