The tournament will launch in style with a Boxing Day special, setting the tone for a festive summer of cricket in South Africa. The opening fixture between MI Cape Town and Durban’s Super Giants is expected to draw global attention, particularly from fans in India, South Africa, and beyond.

Start 2026 with a Bang

On New Year’s Day, Joburg Super Kings take on Durban’s Super Giants at the Wanderers as the first fixture of 2026 sets the tone for the year ahead.

Graeme Smith, League Commissioner, expressed excitement about the season: “Announcing the fixtures is always a major milestone. We’ve designed the schedule to align with school holidays and festive celebrations. Hosting New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day matches for the first time is a big moment for us.”
