Sachin leaves ground with injured ankle

Kolkata, May 2 (UNI) Little Master injured his right ankle during practice today on the opening day of Team India's conditioning camp for Bangladesh.

Sachin Tendulkar injured his right ankle as he ducked a bouncer from S Sreeshanth and awkwardly landed on his haunches injuring his right ankle.

Team India's administrative manager Surinder Bhave later told reporters,''There is slight swelling on his right ankle. John Gloster is applying ice to the swelling and we will take it up tomorrow after watching the progress tonight. But apparently its not so serious.'' ''As of now it does not look serious. X-ray also has not been done,'' he added.

However, Sachin Tendulkar has enough time to recover as he is only included in the Test squad and the series opens with three one-dayers.

The first Test begins at Chittagong on May 15.
