Mumbai, Apr 29: Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray on Sunday, Apr 29, commented on Sachin Tendulkar's Rajya Sabha nomination and called it "dirtiest play" of Congress. "It is Congress's dirtiest play...The real Dirty Picture is this."

Thackeray was given lifetime achievement award by Raipur-based magazine 'Cartoon Watch'.

Shiv Sena's mouthpiece Saamana published an editorial, in which, Thackeray had said, Congress must have an ulterior motive behind nominating Sachin.

"Crores of Sachin's fans would have liked to call him 'Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar'. Alas, he would now only be Sachin Tendulkar, MP" he added.
