Sachin Tendulkar was dismissed by Big Boss winner Munawar Faruqui in ISPL 2024 opener at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane. The batting great scored 30 runs off 17 balls after Khiladi XI led by Akshay Kumar won the toss and invited Master XI to bat first in the showpiece celebrity match.
The stand-up comedian who bowled as a right-arm medium pacer bowled a full length delivery on the middle stump as Sachin Tendulkar shuffled across and aimed to scoop it over fine leg. But a top edge landed into the hands of the wicket-keeper.

The video of the dismissal has gone viral. Munawar Faruqui also played a key role in the dismissal of Yusuf Pathan by taking his catch off Prateik Babbar's bowling.
Earlier, Sachin Tendulkar in a heart-warming gesture introduced his specially-able fan from Jammu and Kashmir named Amir. He revealed how his video of playing cricket inspired him, and gave the idea of inviting him to face the first ball of the ISPL.
Amir's video wearing a jersey having Sachin Tendulkar's name had gone viral. The former India captain won hearts by opening the batting with Amir. Sachin Tendulkar's jersey had Amir's name written on his own jersey.
Further, the Master Blaster danced to the tunes of 'Naatu Naatu' with Ram Charan, Akshay Kumar, Suriya and Boman Irani at the opening of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL). Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan and his son, Abhishek Bachchan were also in attendance.
While, Akshay Kumar is the owner of the ISPL team Srinagar Ke Veer, Ram Charan owns Falcon Risers Hyderabad and Suriya owns the Chennai Singams. Sachin Tendulkar, too, has his own team, Majhi Mumbai.
