Sachin Tendulkar faced a massive protest outside his house on Thursday for promoting online gaming. Independent MLA Omprakash Babarao alias Bacchu Kadu stormed with his supporters outside Tendulkar's house and slammed the legendary cricketer for 'sending a wrong message to the youth of the country'.
Bandra Police had to step in to detain the former Minister of State in Maharashtra Government with a dozen of his supporters. Meanwhile, the other supporters staged a sit-in protest outside the police station.

Bacchu Kadu stated that he would have refrained from protesting against Sachin Tendulkar had he not been awarded Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award.
“If he wants to earn Rs 300-crore by promoting such things, then he should return the Bharat Ratna forthwith,” Kadu said outside the former India captain's house.
A few days ago, he had written a letter to Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde on the matter and even demanded that the Bharat Ratna honour be taken back if Tendulkar continues to promote unethical activities like online gaming.
The MLA further added that he was forced to send Sachin Tendulkar a legal notice after he did not reply to his appeal to pull out from the Paytm First Game promotional campaign. Paytm First Game is a fantasy gaming app which allows users to play online games and win Real Cash amounts.
Similar protests were held outside Shah Rukh Khan's house (Mannat) last week. Heavy security was deployed following the staging of protests.
