Sachin Tendulkar is the biggest name in Indian cricket. The legendary cricketer, who recently turned 50, is regarded as 'God of Cricket' and is immensely respected in the entire part of the nation.
Sachin Tendulkar, since leaving cricket in 2013, has been involved in various social work. The Sachin Tendulkar Foundation (STF) has now recently built a school in Madhya Pradesh's Sandalpur.

Sandalpur is a remote village in Khategaon Tehsil in Dewas district in Madhya Pradesh. The village belongs to Ujjain Division and is located around 1125 km from Dewas. The village has a literacy rate of 56.6 per cent as per the 2011 census.
And in a bid to increase that, the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation has taken a major step. The school is set to provide free education to 2300 children of Sandalpur and the villages around for the upcoming decade or so.
The noble initiative was taken solely by the STF and they have also dedicated the school to Sachin Tendulkar's parents.
The STF was founded to give a platform to bring together people, institutions and resources who are keen to make a social change. The foundation mainly works on giving a better quality of life to children with poor monetary backgrounds across the country and aims to 'create a better world' for the next generation.
