Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar lauded the India U19 women's cricket team for their exceptional performance in the ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup.
The Indian youngsters clinched their second consecutive T20 World Cup win, this time a dominant performance in the final against South Africa saw them clinching the title with ease.

In the final held at Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur, India clinched the title by defeating South Africa by nine wickets. South Africa was bowled out for 82 runs in 20 overs, with India's bowlers delivering a disciplined performance. In response, India chased down the target comfortably, scoring 84 for 1 in 11.2 overs.
Tendulkar emphasized that while winning is special, defending a title requires extraordinary effort. Tendulkar highlighted the team's inspiring journey and the new benchmarks they've set for the future of women's cricket.
"From the first game to the final, our team played like true champions. Winning is special, but defending a title takes something extraordinary. Huge congratulations to #TeamIndia for lifting the U19 T20 World Cup once again! This team has inspired many and set new benchmarks for the future. Very happy for the girls & for women's cricket," Tendulkar wrote on X.
India's young women's star Gongadi Trisha was the player of the match in the final for her 3 wickets and unbeaten 44 runs. Trisha was also bestowed with the player of the series award for her outstanding performances, as she scored 309 runs and picked up 7 wickets in the tournament.
