Sachin Tendulkar & Jay Shah Watch India Women Script History with Maiden Lord's Test Win
New Delhi, July 13: The Indian women's team scripted one of the greatest victories in their Test history with a commanding 270-run win over England in the one-off Test at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground. Incidentally, it was the first win for the women in blue on English soil.
To celebrate this iconic victory, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and ICC chairman Jay Shah were also present in the stands. India dominated the contest with outstanding performances across all departments, producing a clinical batting display before their bowlers dismantled England to seal a memorable victory.

"Wow, the day gets better and better if you're an Indian player, an Indian fan. The great man, the great man Sachin Tendulkar, unannounced, has just popped in, and he's decided to come over and chat with the Indian players. I mean, what a lift that is," Tendulkar remarked.
"They're about to win this historic Test match, surely in the morning session, and some incredible words there from Sachin. It is so good to see him here. It is so good to see him here involved in women's cricket as well. And what a moment that is for all those players," said former England batter Nick Knight on air before the morning session began.
Indian Team Wins At Lords
India Women created history by defeating England by 270 runs in the first-ever Women's Test at Lord's, registering their maiden Test victory at the iconic venue and the second-biggest win by runs in Women's Test history. Kranti Gaud starred with a historic five-wicket haul, while Yastika Bhatia became the first woman to score a Test century at Lord's.
Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Richa Ghosh made crucial batting contributions as India dominated throughout the match. The Test also marked the international farewell of England greats Tammy Beaumont and Heather Knight.
The emphatic result not only marked one of the biggest winning margins in Women's Test cricket but also showcased the remarkable progress of the Indian women's team on the global stage. With the famous win at the "Mecca of Cricket," the women's team wrote yet another chapter in the history book of their cricket.
