India legend Sachin Tendulkar will be honoured with the BCCI's C K Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award at the Board's annual event on Saturday.
The 51-year-old, widely regarded as one of the greatest cricketer in history, played a staggering 664 international matches for India and remains the highest run-scorer in both Test and ODI cricket.

A BCCI source confirmed that Tendulkar will be the recipient of the prestigious award for 2024. Tendulkar holds records for the most Test (200) and ODI (463) appearances, amassing 15,921 Test runs and 18,426 ODI runs. His international career also included a lone T20I appearance.
In 2023, this lifetime honor was bestowed upon Ravi Shastri and Farokh Engineer. The award, instituted in 1994 in memory of India's first Test captain Col. C K Nayudu, recognizes extraordinary contributions to Indian cricket.
Making his debut in 1989 at 16 years old against Pakistan, Tendulkar became the face of Indian cricket for over two decades. Known for his impeccable technique and unmatched hunger for runs, he was the backbone of India's batting lineup, setting multiple records along the way.
Tendulkar was instrumental in India's historic 2011 World Cup triumph, his sixth and final World Cup appearance. The Mumbai-born star also holds the record of scoring 100 international centuries, a feat still unmatched.
The legendary player remains the most celebrated batter in Indian cricket history and now becomes the 31st recipient of the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award.
