Born in Mumbai in 1973, Tendulkar's journey in cricket began at an early age, and he quickly rose through the ranks to make his international debut at just 16 years old.

World Cup Glory

Tendulkar's dream of winning the ICC Cricket World Cup came true in 2011 when India defeated Sri Lanka in the final by six wickets. During this tournament, he was India's top scorer with 482 runs in nine matches. His performance included two centuries and two fifties.

Overall, Tendulkar is the highest run-scorer in World Cup history with 2,278 runs at an average of 56.95 across 45 matches. Despite not scoring big in finals, he excelled in knockout stages with four half-centuries from seven matches.

Champions Trophy Contributions

Though Tendulkar never won an ICC Champions Trophy with India, he participated in five campaigns. In this tournament format, he scored a total of 441 runs at an average of 36.75 over sixteen matches. He managed one century and one fifty during these appearances.

In knockout rounds of the Champions Trophy alone, Sachin scored only one half-century from a total of seven innings but maintained a respectable average of over forty-two.

T20 Ventures

While Tendulkar played just one T20I for India scoring ten runs; his T20 experience expanded through IPL with Mumbai Indians (MI). He scored over two thousand runs across seventy-eight games averaging thirty-four point eight three per match alongside thirteen fifties.

Sachin won the IPL title with MI back in twenty-thirteen while securing Orange Cap three years prior by scoring six hundred eighteen runs within fifteen games averaging forty-seven point five three per match.

The legendary cricketer remains unparalleled as both highest run-getter internationally alongside holding records like hundred centuries or being first-ever player hitting double hundred within ODIs against South Africa back February twenty-ten Gwalior ground.
