Sanju Samson has received an astronomical deal at the Kerala Cricket League as the India star has become the highest-paid player in the competition by a massive margin.
The India player, who appeared in the auction for this season, was part of an intense bidding war among a few teams.

And in the end, Samson has been sold to Kochi Blue Tigers, who paid a massive Rs 26.80 lakh for the acquisition of the player.
Sanju was not part of the KCL in the inaugural season, but he has now found a new home in the Kerala Cricket League. The Rajasthan Royals captain has been a superstar in the T20 format, and is expected to make a strong impact in the Kerala-based franchise tournament.
The Blue Tigers, who didn't retain any player from last season, were in a fight with Thrissur Titans for the player. And after an intense bidding war, the Kochi franchise struck the deal. With a total budget of Rs 50 lakh, amazingly, the Blue Tigers splashed 53.6 per cent of their total budget on Samson.
The Kerala Cricket League will be a big opportunity for Samson to make a stronger mark in the upcoming assignments for India in limited-overs cricket. With a number of ODI and T20I series coming up, a good outing in KCL would further bolster Samson's position in the Indian team.
