Sara Tendulkar has come on board as the proud owner of the Mumbai franchise for Season 2 of the Global e-Cricket Premier League (GEPL).
The GEPL, played on the widely popular Real Cricket game with over 300 million downloads, is the world's largest e-cricket and entertainment league. After a blockbuster inaugural season, Season 2 has already seen a fivefold jump in interest, recording over 910,000 player registrations. With more than 2.4 million minutes of streamed content across JioCinema and Sports18, and a reach exceeding 70 million across platforms, the league has rapidly become a key player in the esports and cricket entertainment space.

Sara Tendulkar's acquisition of the Mumbai franchise marks a major development for the league. Deeply connected with the city, Sara's entry aligns with GEPL's focus on regional pride, digital innovation, and expanding the esports ecosystem.
"Cricket has been an integral part of our family. Exploring its potential in e-sports is thrilling. Owning the Mumbai franchise in GEPL is a dream come true, merging my passion for the game with my love for the city," said Sara. "I'm eager to collaborate with our talented team to build a beloved esports franchise that inspires and entertains."
Rajan Navani, CEO & Founder of JetSynthesys, welcomed Sara, calling her "a true representation of the Gen Z creator and influencer ecosystem." He added, "Her passion for sports and esports, along with her strong public connect, makes her an ideal partner as we take esports deeper into the fabric of India."
Season 2 promises to be more intense and dynamic, featuring revamped team formats, top-tier talent, and cutting-edge gameplay via Real Cricket 24. The season will culminate in a grand finale in May 2025, where the best teams will battle for the ultimate title of 'e-Cricket Icon'.
