
Former England Women cricketer Sarah Taylor on Wednesday, announced the pregnancy of her partner Diana Main. Taking to Instagram, the 33-year-old shared a series of pictures to announce the good news.
"Being a mother has always been my partner's dream. The journey hasn't been an easy one but Diana has never given up. I know she will be the best mum and I'm so happy to be a part of it. 19 weeks to go and life will be very different ! So proud of you," wrote the former wicket-keeper batter.
Not much is known about her partner Diana who has 331 followers on Instagram.
Sarah announced her retirement from international cricket in 2019 after withdrawing from that summer's Ashes series. She won two World Cups (2009 and 2017) and the Women's T20 World Cup (2009) in a stellar career that encompassed a total of 226 caps for England. One of the most naturally-talented players England have produced, the London-born star also featured in senior men's cricket for Walmley, in the Birmingham Premier League.
In 2018, Australia great Adam Gilchrist had called her the "best wicketkeeper in the world at the moment - male or female". In the 126 ODIs Sarah played for England, She grabbed 87 catches and affected 51 stumpings with her lightning quick handwork.
Later in her career she took coaching roles with Team Abu Dhabi in Abu Dhabi T10 competition. In 2022, she joined Manchester Originals as the men's assistant coach.
In May 2022, star England Women all-rounders Natalie Sciver and Katherine Brunt have announced their same-sex marriage after being in a relationship for close to five years. The duo got engaged in October 2019.
Star Australia pacer Megan Schutt also came out lesbian and married her long-term partner Jess Holyoake in 2019. The couple was blessed with a baby girl named Rylee Loiuse Schutt in August 2021.
