Sarfaraz Khan shared the joyous news of his son's birth, which occurred in Mumbai on Monday (October 21). This announcement comes just a day after his remarkable 150-run knock in the Bengaluru Test against New Zealand.

The cricketer posted a touching photo on Instagram, featuring himself with his newborn and his father, Naushad Khan.

Sarfaraz's cricket journey has been marked by perseverance and achievement. Since debuting for India in January during the Test series against England, he has been a consistent performer for India. The Mumbai-born also scored his maiden international century against New Zealand recently.

Despite Sarfaraz's valiant efforts and support from Rishabh Pant, India couldn't secure victory in the Bengaluru Test. A disastrous first innings saw them dismissed for just 46 runs, their lowest-ever total in home Tests. This setback proved too costly for the team.

Sarfaraz was seen visibly elated as he posted the picture holding his newborn, with father Naushad Khan in the frame as well. The player may stay with his family on Tuesday and then may make the short trip to Pune for the 2nd Test against the Kiwis. The Indian player got married last year to Romana Zahoor, who belongs from the Shopian District of Jammu and Kashmir.

For Sarfaraz Khan, this period marks significant personal and professional milestones. The combination of his career-defining innings and the birth of his child makes this an unforgettable time for the young cricketer. The arrival of Sarfaraz's baby boy coincides perfectly with his growing success on the cricket field. This new chapter brings joy to his life as he continues to make strides in his career.
