Mumbai, September 21: Board of Control for Cricket in Indian (BCCI) on Wednesday (September 20) announced a three-year partnership agreement with SBI Life, a leading insurance firm in India, as an official sponsor for domestic and international season.
The partnership, scheduled to kick off during the three-match ODI series against Australia on September 22, 2023, covers both the domestic and international cricket season from 2023 to 2026.

According to the Indian cricket board's President, Roger Binny, the collaboration with SBI Life, a trailblazer in the insurance sector, will foster growth in Indian cricket.
"We are thrilled to announce our partnership with SBI Life as the official partner of BCCI for both domestic and international cricket. SBI Life has been one of the torchbearers in the insurance sector and we are looking to build a solid partnership to take Indian cricket forward," Binny was quoted as saying in a BCCI release.
The sentiment of the BCCI president was echoed by Jay Shah, the Honorary Secretary of the BCCI, who expressed enthusiasm over SBI Life's new role as an official partner.
"We are delighted to welcome SBI Life on board as an Official Partner for BCCI's Domestic and International Season for the course of the next three years, ahead of the prestigious ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023," Shah said.
Shah noted that the insurance powerhouse's dedication to excellence aligns well with ABC's vision for the sport. He anticipated a mutually beneficial relationship that would enhance players' and fans' cricket experience.

The Indian cricket body's Vice-President, Rajeev Shukla expressed confidence that the collaboration with SBI Life would bolster the financial framework of Indian cricket and propel the sport's growth.
Meanwhile, the Indian board's Treasurer, Ashish Shelar elaborated on this, stating that the alliance showcases the commitment of both organizations to strengthening the grassroots of cricket and enriching the experience for its ardent followers.
BCCI Joint Secretary, Devajit Saikia, sees the partnership as a step towards crafting a bright future for cricket in India and generating new sporting success stories.
