SC allows BCCI to spend Rs 2.83 crore for remaining India-England matches

New Delhi, Dec 7: The Supreme Court today (December 7) permitted the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to spend Rs 2.83 crore for the remaining 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and 3 T20I matches to be played between India and England.

Further the SC also directed the BCCI not to give any part of the match receipts to state associations as they have not filed their affidavit undertaking to implement the Justice RM Lodha Panel reforms.

The Supreme Court also asked the BCCI to give expenses and the receipt balance of all the matches.

Out of the Rs 2.83 crore, the BCCI will spend Rs 1.33 crore for the 2 Tests and 25 lakh each for hotel bookings for the players.

The SC also allowed the BCCI to spend Rs 25 lakh each for the 3 ODIs and the 3 T-20 matches.

Virat Kohli-captained India lead the 5-match rubber 2-0. The 4th Test starts tomorrow (December 8) in Mumbai. The 5th and final game is in Chennai from December 16.

The limited overs series begins on January 15, 2017. After the Test matches, England team will head back home for Christmas and return to India next month for ODIs and T20Is.
