Sehwag aims for consistency to cement his place in Team India

New Delhi, Aug 8 (UNI) After getting a fresh lease of life in form of a Twenty20 World Cup berth, Virender Sehwag wants to make most of the opportunity by ''performing consistently'' to cement his place in the side.

Talking to UNI, Sehwag said, ''I am happy to be included back in the team and I will try to do well in the inaugural Twenty20 World Cup.'' Dropped from Team India ranks after the Caribbean World Cup owing to his poor form, the swashbuckling Delhi bat was today recalled by the selectors for inaugural edition of the slam-bang tourney to be played in South Africa next month.

Although the player, hopeful of being included in the Natwest ODI series squad against England, was left disappointed.

''I just want to perform consistently well to get my place back in the side,'' he added.

Besides Sehwag, paceman Irfan Pathan and offie Harbhajan Singh also make a re-entry to the Indian team's dressing room.
