New Delhi, Nov 7 (UNI) Virender Sehwag replaced Yuvraj Singh as vice-captain of the Indian team for the upcoming ODI series and the two-Test series against England.
The opener is also the deputy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the fourth and final Test against Australia after Anil Kumble announced his retirement here in the third Test.
Sehwag has replaced Yuvraj, who has not been among the runs, while the Delhi lad has been in a good form ever since he made a comeback in the Indian team.
''Virender Sehwag will be the vice-captain of the Indian team for the Nagpur Test against Australia, as well as the ODI and Test series against England,'' BCCI Secretary N Srinivasan said in a statement today.
England arrived in India yesterday to play the seven ODIs and two Tests, with the first ODI getting underway from November 14.
