Mumbai, Apr 20 (ANI): In a major setback to Team India, Indian opener Virender Sehwag was ruled out of the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Twenty20 2010 on Tuesday following a shoulder injury.
There are reports that Sehwag has sustained a shoulder injury and has been advised rest for three to four weeks.
This has come as a big blow to Team India, as he was the part of the squad that won the last ICC World Twenty20 tournament.
In-form Tamil Nadu batsman Murali Vijay has been selected as the opening batsman in place of the injured Sehwag.
Gautam Gambhir will be the Vice-Captain of the team in place of Sehwag.
The ICC World Twenty20 2010 is to be played in the West Indies. (ANI)
