Amid this, one enthusiastic fan grabbed Shakib's hand and that was enough for the player to lose his cool. Shakib turned and slapped the fan and then went away.

Despite the slap, Shakib is currently comfortably leading from the Magura 1 constituency. The cricketer has an overwhelming lead as the counting is in process. Shakib is contesting under the political banner of Awami League, who are currently at power in Bangladesh.
