Sydney, Oct 27 : Rejecting the speculations that he might make a comeback to international cricket even as Aussie bowlers are struggling against India, former leg-spinner Shane Warne has said that he was confident that his country's side would bounce back in the third Test in Delhi's Ferozshah Kotla from Wednesday.

In the backdrop of the 320-run defeat against the hosts at in the second Test in Mohali, he said there was no need for him to come out of retirement.

The Australian great, who is second highest wicket taker after Sri Lanka's Muthia Murlidharan, played his last Test in January 2007.

In an interview with MCG Today, he said he was confident his former teammates could still salvage something from the four-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy series.

"I think Australia will bounce back, I think that really hurt them, that last Test match, and I'm sure they'll fight back in the Aussie way," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted him as saying in the interview. He added that the senior players, led by Ricky Ponting, Michael Clarke and hopefully Matthew Hayden, would start getting more runs.

"Hopefully they win the toss and put some big runs on the board," said Warne and added: "I think it's been a fantastic series so far and I'm sure the Aussies will fight back. But as far as I'm concerned, I am very happily retired."
