Shoaib has already made an excellent in the series: Lawson

New Delhi, Nov 1 (UNI) Even before a single ball is bowled, Pakistan cricket coach Geoff Lawson today declared that fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has started the series against India on a highly successful note.

Lawson made this startling disclosure amidst laughter in reply to a question at a press confrence here this evening.

He was asked whether Shoaib, given his past record,will be able to spearhead the Pakistan bowling attack.

The Australian took a pause and replied, "Well he has already made a successful start." He went on to explain,"Well he (Shoaib) turned up at the (Lahore) airport in time with a very sensible haircut, This is a great start to series for him." The coach was confident that this time the Rawalpindi Express will perform well on the field," I am confident he will do his duty, he will do what is required from him." "If three (Captain/Vice captain/ coach) handle him well and if he also realises the responsibility he has to shoulder, he will be the match winner for us.
