Indian Cricketer Shreyas Iyer in Awe of LeBron James' Fashion Ensembles

Bengaluru, August 16: Shreyas Iyer, the talented cricketer from India, couldn't help but gush over the pre and post-game ensembles of basketball icon LeBron James during a recent promotional shoot.

Expressing his admiration for the basketball great, Iyer stated, "LeBron James' body language and unwavering optimism as he strides onto the court before a game is truly remarkable. He possesses an impeccable and astute personality."

The stylish batsman also revealed how he draws inspiration from the NBA's traditional pre-game tunnel walks, where players showcase their unique fashion sense. Regrettably for cricketers like himself, they don't have the opportunity to indulge in such displays of swagger and style before or after matches.

Reflecting on this disparity, Iyer exclaimed, "If given the chance, I would absolutely love to partake in those pre-match and post-match tunnel walks that are so prevalent in the NBA."

Being quite the sneaker enthusiast himself, Iyer proudly exhibits his extensive collection of sneakers throughout the two-part series while discussing how NBA culture has influenced his life.

When it comes to choosing his outfits, he admits that his sneaker selection plays a crucial role. Striving for simplicity without being too rigid, Iyer describes his style in three words: "minimalistic, casual yet comfortable."

Iyer is currently undergoing rehabiliation following a back surgery earlier this year. The batter is at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, training along with KL Rahul as the duo aim to be fit and available for the World Cup, scheduled to take place in October-November.

The recovering duo are now taking part in match simulations at the NCA. In fact, Iyer and Rahul are expected to take part in training all through this week, which could give the national selectors clarity on how the duo are shaping up in a match environment before they pick India's Asia Cup squad.

Team India have an issue with solving their number four slot ahead of the World Cup. But if Iyer and Rahul are both available, it provides the team a huge boost going into the show-piece event at home.
