Shreyas Iyer hit his third ODI hundred in the second ODI of the three-match series against Australia at the Holkar Stadium in Indore On Sunday to help India tick all their boxes ahead of the World Cup 2023.

The Mumbai batter endured a lot of misery ever since making his comeback in the Asia Cup 2023 after a six-month long injury layoff. After becoming fit and available again to play in the first ODI against Mohali on Friday, the star batter got run out unfortunately for three runs off eight balls.

With just two international ODI matches left for India before the start of the World Cup 2023, an under-pressure Shreyas Iyer hit a scintillating 86-ball hundred to clear all the doubts surrounding his fitness and form. Shreyas Iyer, who hit 11 fours and three sixes, roared in delight after reaching the three-figure mark as the entire dressing room stood and acknowledged the knock.
