India star Shubman Gill has made a significant off-field investment by purchasing a luxury apartment in Mumbai's upscale Juhu locality. The Gujarat Titans skipper has reportedly acquired the premium property for around ₹20.7 crore, joining an elite group of cricketers who own high-value homes in the financial capital.
As per reports, the apartment is located on Juhu Tara Road in the luxury residential project Pooja Luminaire, one of the most sought-after addresses in Mumbai.

Spread across approximately 3,369 sq ft, the property offers a rare level of exclusivity, with Gill owning the entire 12th floor. Such full-floor residences are considered premium even in Mumbai's competitive real estate market, offering enhanced privacy and panoramic views.
The transaction, registered in March 2026, also involved a stamp duty payment of around ₹1.24 crore, along with registration charges. The pricing translates to roughly ₹61,000 per sq ft, which is in line with prevailing luxury rates in Juhu. The locality typically commands between ₹55,000 and ₹70,000 per sq ft, depending on factors such as location, amenities, and exclusivity. The project is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by 2029.
Juhu has long been one of Mumbai's most prestigious residential pockets, known for its proximity to the coastline, celebrity homes, and strong connectivity to commercial and entertainment hubs. Its appeal among cricketers and celebrities lies not just in lifestyle, but also in long-term investment potential.
Gill's purchase places him among several prominent Indian cricketers who have invested heavily in Mumbai real estate. Rohit Sharma owns a sea-facing apartment in Worli's Ahuja Towers, reportedly valued at around ₹30 crore, while Suryakumar Yadav has built a portfolio of premium properties in the city worth over ₹28 crore. Former India pacer Zaheer Khan also owns a luxury apartment in a high-rise development in central Mumbai.
Among other Indian greats, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli also have a notable presence in Mumbai's luxury real estate market, even though their primary residences are based elsewhere. Dhoni is understood to own a premium apartment in Mumbai, which he primarily uses during the IPL season and for commercial commitments, complementing his main residence in Ranchi.
Meanwhile, Kohli owns a high-end sea-facing apartment in Worli's upscale Omkar 1973 Towers, one of the city's most exclusive residential projects. The apartment, reportedly valued at around ₹30-34 crore, offers panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and sits in a locality that has become a hotspot for elite athletes and celebrities. Their investments underline a common trend among top cricketers - maintaining a base in Mumbai to stay connected with India's commercial, media, and cricketing hub.
The preference for Mumbai among cricketers continues to grow due to its unmatched ecosystem. The city offers access to endorsement deals, media opportunities, and business ventures, along with proximity to iconic venues like Wankhede Stadium. For modern cricketers, owning property in Mumbai is not just about lifestyle, but also about establishing a long-term financial asset in one of India's most dynamic real estate markets.
Gill's latest investment highlights the evolving financial profile of Indian cricketers, who are increasingly diversifying their earnings into high-value assets. As the IPL and global cricket ecosystem continue to expand, such moves underline how players are building their brand and securing their future beyond the game.
