Shubman Gill has opened up on his captaincy aspirations after leading India to a 4-1 win in Zimbabwe. The 24-year-old made his captaincy debut for India on July six but ended up losing the first T20I by 13 runs.
However, Shubman Gill and Team India bounced back to win the next four matches on the trot and seal the series by a 4-1 margin. Gill himself finished the series as the leading run-scorer.

Speaking after the series win, the opener did not shy away from admitting that he felt pressure at the start of the tour, but ended the series with a lot of satisfaction.
"You can take qualities from Rohit bhai or even Mahi bhai, Virat bhai, Hardik bhai, all of them. All of them have great qualities. I have played the most under Rohit bhai, so he is someone who I look up to and really enjoy playing under," Shubman Gill, who scored 170 runs in five matches at an average of 42.50 said.
Further, the Punjab batter said that he enjoys the pressure of captaincy and he likes being more involved in the game. He said the pressure of captaining is immense, and so is the satisfaction after coming out of tough situations and winning the matches.
"It (captaincy) is something that I definitely enjoy. I think it brings out the best in me when I am out there because I look to be involved in the game. It is something that really brings out the side of me which I enjoy being on the field."
"There was pressure, I wouldn't say extra pressure but obviously even when you are playing just as a batsman when you don't perform there is a certain kind of pressure that comes along with it. But I think that's the fun part of it. You kind of feel so many different emotions. Pressure is one of them. And when you get out of that, the satisfaction that you feel is immense," he added.
Shubman Gill will now be seen playing in Sri Lanka towards the end of the month as India travel to the island nation for three T20Is and as many ODIs.
