Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill will look to get more runs on the board when his team looks to avenge the reverse fixture loss against Delhi Capitals in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match 40 on Wednesday (April 24) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Gill, who won the Orange Cap last season after amassing 890 runs in 17 innings, has so far amassed 298 runs in 8 innings this season with a best score of an unbeaten 89 coming against the Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad.

The 25-year-old has registered scores of 31, 8, 36, 89, 19, 72, 8 and 35 in the 8 innings so far this season, striking at 146.80, but his team has won just four of the 8 matches as others have failed to step up with the bat in this campaign.
Gill scored 8 the last time he faced DC as GT had suffered a humiliating defeat at the hand of Rishabh Pant-led side in the reverse fixture at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where the 2022 champions were bowled out for 89.
However, the Indian star batter will look to give a fitting reply and improve his record against the Delhi-based in the upcoming meeting at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Now, let's take a look at Shubman Gill record against Delhi Capitals in IPL:
Gill, who made his IPL debut with Kolkata Knight Riders in 2018 season following the U19 World Cup, played his maiden campaign at number seven in the batting order before cementing his place as the opener in the next season.
In his first three innings vs DC, Gill made scores of 6, 37 and 4 before he scored his first fifty against the Delhi-based outfit. The 25-year-old later added one more fifty later in his career, which also happened to be his highest score against DC of 84.
Overall, Gill has scored 3088 runs, including 3 hundreds and 20 fifties in 96 innings at a strike rate of 135.20. Against DC, Gill has scored over 300 runs, including 2 fifties, in 13 innings at a strike rate close to 128 in IPL. Here is a look at Gill's stats vs DC:
As mentioned earlier, Gill has just 2 fifties in 14 innings against Delhi Capitals and zero unbeaten knocks in his appearances vs DC. He has also been troubled by a few DC bowlers in the past.
Gill will need to be wary of Anrich Nortje, Ishant Sharma and Khaleel Ahmed, who have all dismissed him once in his past encounters against DC. Here is a look at his stats against the DC bowlers:
Gill could be troubled by a few more bowlers in the current DC line up. His numbers at the Arun Jaitley Stadium also don’t make for a good reading in the limited appearances at the Delhi venue. Here is a look at Gill’s stats in Delhi:
