Shubman Gill, Tiger Shroff pip Babar Azam to find place in top 10 most searched people in Pakistan in 2023

Shubman Gill, the 24-year-old India opener, endured a stellar run in the 2023 season. With 1584 runs in 29 ODI matches at an average of 63.36 and a strike rate of 105.45, the right-hand batter is the leading run-scorer in the format in 2023. Virat Kohli is second with 1377 runs in 27 matches.

The Punjab cricketer also has a high style quotient and is famous among youngsters for his looks and fashion. The rumours of his affair with Sara Tendulkar, the daughter of Sachin Tendulkar, also kept him in the headlines this year.

The world number one ODI batter top-scored in the IPL 2023 for Gujarat Titans. By the end of the year the crowned 'Prince' of Indian cricket was named the captain of the franchise. On top of everything, Shubman Gill also voiced the Indian Spider-Man in the film 'Spider-Man: Across the Multiverse'.

Shubman Gill emerged as the second most searched person on Google in India in 2023. He was second only to Bollywood actress Kiara Advani and ahead of the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami.

If that wasn't enough, Gill has also found a place in the top 10 trending searches for "people" in Pakistan for 2023. Much to the surprise of everyone former Pakistan captain Babar Azam has failed to find a place in the elusive list, but the Indian star has got a mention alongside Abdullah Shafique and Saud Shakeel. Other cricketers named in the list as per Geo News are - Glenn Maxwell, Haseebullah Khan and Usman Khan.

Vloggers Hareem Shah and Aliza Sehar were the top names people searched for this year on Google in Pakistan. Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff secured the third spot.
