Sikandar Raza was left fuming and got into a heated altercation with Ireland players Joshua Little and Curtis Campher during Zimbabwe's 1st T20I match against the opposition in Harare on Thursday, December 7.
The incident happened during the Zimbabwe batting innings when pacer Joshua Little sledged Sikandar Raza. The Zimbabwe captain came out all guns blazing against Ireland during the 148-run chase.

The 37-year-old took charge after Zimbabwe were reduced to 21/2 in 3.5 overs. Sikandar Raza walked in at number four and held one end to take his side close to target single-handedly.
The right-hand batter scored 65 off 42 balls. The innings consisted of five fours and two sixes. Opener Wessly Madhevere (25) was the only other player who crossed the 20-run mark from the side. Zimbabwe sealed a one-wicket win on the last ball of the match.
During the course of Sikandar Raza's match-winning knock, pacer Joshua Little tried sledging Raza and disrupting his concentration. Raza gave it back to Joshua before Curtis Campher and rallied behind his teammate to have a go at the Zimbabwe veteran.
In a video which has gone viral, Sikandar Raza can be seen angrily explaining something to Campher before aggressively charging towards the Irish cricketer. He also made a gesture with his bat towards Campher before both the umpires separated the two players.
Sikandar Raza was adjudged Man of the Match for his performance. He also talked about the heated exchange and said, "What happens on the park, stays on the park. It was played in the right spirit"
Raza has been in sublime form across the formats for Zimbabwe over the last few years. In the recent ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Region Qualifier, Raza emerged the highest run-scorer. He scored 273 runs in six matches at an average of 54.60 and a strike rate of 150.82. However, his team failed to qualify for the T20 World Cup 2024 which is scheduled to be held in June 2024.
