Sri Lanka A will face Pakistan A in the first semi-final match of the ongoing ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 on Friday, October 25 at the Al Amerat stadium in Oman.
Sri Lanka A have been in great form at the ongoing tournament, topping Group A with two wins in three matches. Despite a narrow 11-run loss against Afghanistan A in the opening match, the Lankans have fought back admirably, winning two games in a row against Hong Kong and Bangladesh A.

They will now face a Pakistan Shaheens team that, despite also winning two games in three matches, could only finish second in Group B as a result of India A’s perfect run. However, the Men’s Emerging Cup 2023 champions are one of the favourites to win the tournament, which will make for a compelling game of cricket on Friday.
Sri Lanka A and Pakistan A have faced each other twice in List A matches, with both encounters coming in the 2023 and 2019 editions of the Emerging Teams Asia Cup tournament.
In both clashes, the Pakistan Shaheens emerged victorious, winning by 90 runs in the 2019 group stage match and by 60 runs in the 2023 semi-final.
