The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 Final saw Mumbai rising to the top again as they beat Madhya Pradesh to clinch the trophy at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday (December 15).
The Shreyas Iyer-led team conquered Madhya Pradesh and registered a victory by 5 wickets. Chasing 175, the Mumbai team reached their target with 13 balls to spare.

India's T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav scored an unbeaten 48 runs while Suryansh Shedge was the instigator for Mumbai's canter with a brilliant unbeaten 36 off just 15 deliveries. Ajinkya Rahane was also a key contributor as 37 runs came off his bat. For Madhya Pradesh, their captain Rajat Patidar played a brilliant knock of 81 runs earlier but the batting from the Mumbai side was too hot for the MP bowlers to handle. Mumbai, with the victory, now have won their 2nd Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy title.
A plethora of records were created in the tournament, along with some high-class batting and bowling in display across the tournament. Baroda registered the highest T20 score by any team when they notched up 349 runs against Sikkim. Hyderabad's Tilak Varma also scored 151 in a match, which is now the highest T20 score by an Indian.
