Smriti Mandhana has etched her name in the history books with a sublime century against England in the 1st T20I on Saturday (June 28).
The Indian batting star played a scintillating knock at Trent Bridge, which has scripted new history for her and Indian women's cricket.

Smriti Mandhana smashed her maiden T20I century, scoring 112 off 62 balls, to lead India to a commanding total of 210 against England in the first T20I at Trent Bridge.
The stand-in captain's knock, laced with 15 fours and three sixes, powered India to a formidable total after England opted to bowl. Mandhana, partnering with Shafali Verma (20) and Harleen Deol, became the second Indian woman to score a T20I ton, joining Harmanpreet Kaur.
Her century, completed in 51 balls, marked her as the first Indian woman with centuries in all three formats. Fans and the ICC hailed her "swashbuckling" performance, setting the tone for the five-match series.
Her 112 not only broke that barrier but also made her join an elite group of cricketers like Heather Knight, Tammy Beaumont, Laura Wolvaardt, and Beth Mooney - who have all scored centuries in all formats of the game.
Speaking of the team, Harleen Deol also played a decent knock of 43 runs off just 23 balls, while Richa Ghosh scored a quickfire 12 off 6 deliveries. India has posted 210 for 5 in their 20 overs and will be hoping to defend the total against a strong English batting lineup.
