Addressing the gathering of students and sports enthusiasts at the event, Ganguly expressed his gratitude for the warm reception. "I am overwhelmed. It feels great to be in Burdwan. I am even more happy that you invited me," he said.

Following the university interaction, Ganguly proceeded to a stadium in Burdwan for another engagement. Speaking at the event, he highlighted the long-standing relationship between the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and Burdwan Sports Association. "BDS (Burdwan Sports Association) was asking me to come for a long time. It feels great to be here today. CAB has been working with the Burdwan sports organization for 50 years. Many players have emerged from the district. We will have to recruit players from the district in the same way in the future as well," he stated.

Despite the unexpected road mishap, Ganguly remained composed and went on to fulfill his commitments, reinforcing his dedication to the promotion of sports at the grassroots level.
