'Sourav Ganguly is Possessive, often Lies...', Allegations on Dada by wife Dona Ganguly

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly's wife Dona Ganguly has said that 'Dada' is 'possessive' and often 'tells lies'.

Dona Ganguly has been married to Sourav Ganguly for almost three decades. She was the childhood sweetheart of the former India captain and the pair eloped to tie their knots.

And even after all these years, Sourav Ganguly is quite possessive of his wife, Dona Ganguly revealed in a Bengali TV show.

Dona was present at an episode of a Bengali show named 'Didi No. 1', which is hosted by Bollywood and Tollywood actress Rachana Banerjee. It was an episode which also had West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Sourav Ganguly hosts a separate quiz show on TV, named 'Dadagiri', where he opens up on his relationship with his wife and shares many hilarious anecdotes.

Amid the show, Dona was asked about the reality of those anecdotes, and the better half of Sourav Ganguly denied it straightaway and said Sourav often speaks lies on the Dadagiri show.

"He (Sourav) knows what will increase the TRP, and he says exactly those. Whatever he says, not all the things are true. But he knows what he has to say to satisfy the audience," Dona said on the show.

Sourav Ganguly himself shared in a Dadagiri episode that he is very possessive. Dona agreed with that and said the former BCCI president often gives suggestions to her on what saree to wear.

"Yes, he is very possessive. What Saree I will wear, where should I wear, he often makes those choices for me. Even the Saree I am wearing here is of his choice," a gleeful Dona continued.

These sweet allegations on Sourav Ganguly from his wife clearly depict his deep connection with his family, which is truly admirable. The 51-year-old is currently with Delhi Capitals as the Director of Cricket. He is with the team in Bengaluru and is expected to continue stay for the IPL as well.
