Sourav Ganguly strikes back, unfollows Virat Kohli on Instagram

Sourav Ganguly has further ignited the row between him and Virat Kohli by unfollowing the latter on Instagram. Both Kohli and Ganguly have now damaged their relationship with another strike.

It all started in the IPL 2023 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals. RCB had won the match and DC's Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly avoided a handshake with Kohli.

Virat Kohli also didn't want to shake hands with Ganguly and as the pair avoided each other, the social media broke with a new row of a rift between them. Soon after, Virat Kohli unfollowed Sourav Ganguly on Instagram.

It was evident that the RCB batter was bemused by the handshake snub and took the decision to unfollow the Prince of Calcutta. And now Ganguly has done the same.

On Monday afternoon, Ganguly's Instagram handle saw a less number on his following section, as it went down to 106 from an initial 107. Kohli, who was still being followed by Sourav despite the former's snub, now has been removed by Ganguly.

Ganguly Kohli

The clash between Sourav Ganguly and Virat Kohli is a long story. The two personalities clashed during Ganguly's stint as BCCI president. Kohli claimed the board had removed him from captaincy and Ganguly had a major influence on that. Ganguly, on the other hand, denied all allegations and stated the process was a discussed matter.

The former BCCI president has been under the pump since then and now this latest behavioral mishap has further damaged the relation between the two. Kohli's fight with former players is nothing new. He forced Anil Kumble to resign as India coach due to the pair's 'untenable' relation.

RCB have currently 4 points in 4 games, while Delhi Capitals are without a point after five matches. These two teams will meet again on May 6 this season and we can only hope things will get better at that time.
