CSA annual Awards 2023: Aiden Markram to Marizanne Kapp - Full List of Nominees

The Cricket South Africa (CSA) has unveiled their nominees for the annual awards for the 2022-23 season. The complete list of nominees was released on Monday (June 19) by the governing body of cricket in South Africa.

CSA Awards will be held on July 7 at the Vodaworld in Midrand. This is the first time the award ceremony comes back in-person since the COVID-19 pandemic. The theme for the awards this season is named 'A Summer to Celebrate' as CSA felicitates the best-performing players from last season.

The 2022-23 season was a decent one for the South African women's team, who went to the Final of the Women's T20 World Cup. For the men's team, it was nothing noteworthy as they failed to make their mark in the Men's T20 World Cup last October.

Temba Bavuma, Aiden Markram are among the players who have been nominated in multiple categories. Women's team star Marizanne Kapp has dominated the nomination categories as well.

Bavuma has found his name in four categories, whereas Markram has been nominated in three of them. Youngsters Gerald Coetzee, Tony de Zorzi and Tristan Stubbs are up for the Men's NEwcomer of the Year award.

Among the women's categories, Marizanne Kapp and Shabmin Ismail have been nominated in all three categories of the awards. Ismail retired in May from international cricket but played a key part in South Africa women's T20 World Cup run.
