South Africa will look to earn a direct qualification spot for the 2023 ODI World Cup when they face Netherlands in the two rescheduled matches from 2021, starting with the second ODI on Friday (March 31) at the Willowmoore Park in Benoni.
The first of three-match series, which was played in November 2021, was called off due to rain. The series was then postponed following concerns over a new COVID-19 variant.

Now, the two matches will be crucial to the final standings in current Cricket World Cup Super League as the top eight earn a direct qualification, while the remaining teams will head to the qualifiers.
Tenth-placed South Africa and Netherlands, who play the first of the rescheduled match on March 31 in Benoni, will conclude the series on Sunday (April 2) with the third ODI at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.
Both teams are fighting for a direct entry to the ODI World Cup, which is scheduled to take place later this year. West Indies currently hold the eight spot, but have no more games left in the current cycle. The Proteas can surpass them with series white-wash over Netherlands.
This will be South Africa's first ODI assignment since their 1-1 home series result from earlier this month against West Indies, while this will Netherlands' first ODI outing since they lost an away series 1-2 to Zimbabwe last week.
