South Africa are taking on Netherlands in the ICC World Cup 2023 at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala today (October 17).
The Proteas have won their first two matches, while the Dutch have lost their first two. As the match is set to start, let's have a look at how the weather is behaving in Dharamshala.

South Africa and Netherlands are made one change each in their team. Gerald Coetzee has come in place of Tabraiz Shamsi for the Proteas, while Logan van Beek has replaced Ryan Klein for the Dutch.

This is going to be the first match, which wont be seeing the full quota of 50 overs in this World Cup 2023.
The match will start at 4 pm and it will be 43-over per side match.
Dharamshala is at the foothills of the Dhauladhar range. In the month of October, there is an average of 2.8 days rain, and around 52 mm of rain in terms of volume.

We already have had a halt of more than an hour. If things are fine for now, we may see the match starting from 3:45 pm IST. And it looks like we may not have any loss of overs.
The rain has now stopped and the sky looks a lot whitish. As the weather often is around Dharamshala, it is bright and almost sunny currently.
It is to be seen how long the current shower persists. The temperature is also going to slump around 12⁰ C in the evening and the rain is making things colder.
The positive news is that after 5 pm, the prediction of rain is almost non-existent. That is something to be hopeful for as it pours down in Dharamshala for now.
We saw a bit of rain yesterday as well in the match between Australia and Sri Lanka. Hopefully today the rain will pass and we will have a full game.
Rain is predicted throughout afternoon here in Dharamshala. Although the intensity and the chance of the precipitation will decrease as the evening progresses. But any heavier rain here can take a toll on the number of overs in the match.
The sky is dark black everywhere else. And there's there's a patch of white in one portion of the sky. The wind is blowing quite heavily, and the ground is getting very wet at the moment. This is a bummer!

The sky is still massively gloomy in Dharamshala. It looks like there will be more rain in the beautiful city in Himachal Pradesh. So far, the overs are not curtained, but it may well be in the coming hours if rain comes back again.

There is a decent probablity of rain till 5 pm today. The wind velocity is going to be high as well. In the evening, the probability of precipitation goes down to 3 per cent.
The toss is just in 4 minutes and we are set to start the match 3 pm IST, provided the rain is away.
The toss was supposed to start again at 2 pm but the rain came again. Now the covers are off and the new schedule for the Toss is 2:30 pm IST.
