South Africa have struck form in the last few ODI assignments. Despite missing Anrich Nortje, their squad is formidable and have players who can win games single-handedly. Heinrich Klaasen, Aiden Markram and co. will be a team to keep an eye on in this tournament that is for sure.
On the other end, Sri Lanka's glitter and gloom has been coninciding for a long time. The lack of consistency and proper match winners in their team has made them suffer, and Wanindu Hasaranga's injury has further crippled them. But the Lankans do know how to fight and don't be surprised if they upset a few big boys.
But for the opening match, it just looks South Africa are too good across all departments and we predict the Proteas are going to start their World Cup campaign with a victory.
