1. Virat Kohli celebrates 36th Birthday

Virat Kohli turned 36 on Tuesday. The India stalwart spent his birthday with family in London. His wife Anushka Sharma also made a heartfelt wish to the India batter. In India itself, wishes poured in from fans and ex-players for the India batter.

2. Arshdeep Singh unfollows Punjab Kings

Arshdeep Singh has unfollowed Punjab Kings from Instagram. The India pacer was left of the retention list and is going to be in the auction. Punjab Kings only retained two uncapped Indian players Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh.

3. ICC Player of the Month Nominations Announced, No Indians make it

In the latest ICC player of the month nominations, no Indian has found a chance. After a dismal series defeat against New Zealand, the Indian team will have to bounce back against Australia. Mitchell Santner has been nominated after his stellar outing in Pune, where he picked up 13 wickets. Pakistan's Noman Ali and South Africa's Kagiso Rabada are the other two nominated players.

4. Afro-Asia Cup set to return after 18 years

India and Pakistan players may rub shoulders together as the Afro-Asia Cup is likely to return in 2025. The inaugural season of the tournament was played in 2005 and then since 2007, this tournament hasn't taken place. Virat Kohli, Babar Azam, Jasprit Bumrah and Shaheen Afridi will play together for the same team if it happens, which will bring back nostalgia for cricket lovers.

5. Sunil Gavaskar unhappy with India cancelling warmup Match

Former India player Sunil Gavaskar has blasted BCCI for cancelling their warmup match against India A. Rohit Sharma confirmed that team India will play a match simulation instead of a warmup match after their touchdown in Australia.

"Australia can be salvaged because the pitches there are beautiful to bat on after the first dozen overs or so, after which the ball hardly deviates off the surface. To do that, though, the team needs to play a bit more on those kinds of pitches. Instead, we are now told that the warm-up game before the first Test has been called off," Gavaskar wrote in his column.

A leaked medical report claims that Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, a 2024 Olympic contender, was identified as male, sparking controversy and confusion. India has formally submitted a 'Letter of Intent' to host the Olympics 2036, as Ahmedabad has emerged as a strong contender for the host city within the country. As per PTI, The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) have submitted the letter of intent to the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) Future Host Commission.

9. Peru player dies of Lightning Strike

A player passed away following a lightning strike during an ongoing football match in Peru. The incident took place at the Coto Coto stadium in the town of Chilca, about 70 kilometres southeast of Lima. A sudden lightning took the life of the player while several others were dumbstruck by the severity of the incident.
