How Sreesanth tries to fix his luck with god in Tihar Jail

Posted By:

New Delhi, June 4: 30-year-old pace bowler from Kerala -- S Sreesanth has landed in a serious legal trouble over his alleged role in IPL spot fixing scandal. The cricketer, who currently is being lodged in Tihar jail, seems to have been trying to fix his luck after impressing god.

According to a report published in Times of India, Sreesanth has been keeping fast in jail everyday and praying to several gods.

The report quoted one jail official as saying, "He keeps offering prayers to various goddesses and tells others that he is innocent. He has refused to shave since he got here and will only agree to eat one meal a day."

"He is totally unused to the life in jail which is far away from his usual lifestyle. He has no friends, no luxury, and though he denies any involvement, he is highly agitated and nervous about the investigations and the outcome of the case. He is usually seen either nervously pacing about or just sitting in the shade, with a dull look on his face," the report quoted another official as saying.

Earlier it was reported that Sreesanth has been watching television news and reading newspapers to keep an eye on the ongoing developments in the IPL fixing controversies.

The Kerala pacer reportedly has lost around eight kilos and has low blood pressure since his arrest. Now, it will be interesting to see whether Sreesanth's prayers work for him or not.

The cricketer was sent to judicial custody which ended today (Tuesday, June 4). A court in Delhi would hear his bail plea. Sreesanth along with his two other Rajasthan Royals (RR) teammates -- Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan were arrested from Mumbai by Delhi Police on May 16.
